Think Modern is currently looking for self-motivated and energetic HSC Subject Curators to actively participate in the Think Modern Team. Working predominantly on encouraging other HSC students to excel, we are looking for Band 6 high achieving HSC graduates of 2012 and 2013, particularly in Physics and Biology.
What is Think Modern?
Think Modern is an online educational organisation that is run and owned by students for students. It aims to assist HSC students during their final year of study. We aim to provide Year 12 students particularly those disadvantaged, a way of understanding how the HSC works, how to maximise their marks and their potential as much as possible. We are in the process of launching and are looking for students ASAP.
Job Description:
As a subject Curator, you have the opportunity to:
- Represent a HSC subject that you have performed well in and are greatly passionate about
- Curate and manage that specific subject:
o You will be able to provide HSC notes, Answers to HSC style Questions, Definitions and Explanations for HSC concepts and presentation videos about each dot point in the syllabus
o A subject will take approximately 3-4 weeks to film. There are no fixed hours however you will be required to meet agreed schedules.
- After filming, you will be required to update and manage the subject on a weekly basis. This component however, is greatly flexible and involves independent work.
What are the Perks about being Think Modern’s Subject Curator:
As a Subject Curator, you will:
- Earn a base payment of $120 a running hour. On top of that, you will also earn extra monthly royalties and payment.
- Be introduced into a successful and highly driven team. You will have multiple opportunities to network with a group of people. These people are HSC graduates and are also ambitious and hard working.
- Have great experience and the ability to build your online presence. This will greatly enhance your job description and provide you with further experience.
- Have the ability to improve your presentational and organisational skills, greatly benefiting future job applications and employment
- Be able to work flexibly and independently. You represent the subject that you are curating.
- Be able to Assist HSC students. As a graduate you will understand what the stressful affects of the HSC are. Joining the Think Modern team will not only provide you skills and remittance but also enable you to share your knowledge and assist others going through the HSC who are willing to strive for their best.
What requirements are there for this position:
TO be successful for this position, you must have:
- Scored a Band 6 in the subject you wish to be representing
- Understand and show great academic discipline
- Have great work ethics and enjoy new challenges
- Although not necessary, it is preferred that you have had public speaking or debating experience and leadership skills
