Hi everyone!
For common mod, my school is having us write unseen question in-class essays, with a related text of our choosing.
For my essay, I've chosen to do "In the Penal Colony" by Franz Kafka as my related text
There are so many themes i could cover, such as:
- Human Cruelty/Apathy
- Dehumanisation
- Adherence to outdated/unjust ideology
- Unjust/biased Legal systems
However i'm struggling to connect them all to one unified human experience, the best i can come up with is "the effects of individual perception of Justice/righteousness"
I'm also worried these ideas could be too specific and not adaptable for an unseen question
Any advice? Thank you so much!
