firstly, sorry if this has been done. a search revealed nothing.

Any ideas on the best way to hold on to a good ranking? especially if it's really really close? im currently first in drama and biology, but in bio im only ahead by like one mark - it might be a trivial thing to stress over but i'd like to keep my rank for the rest of the year. apart from the obvious things like studying (duh) are there any good ways to keep a grip on what is at the moment a pretty precarious position? id really like to top bio *hopes* any ideas?

hmm... maintain your study patterns or do derank your opponent lol, get your friends to disturb him/her during class?? ask teacher for advice, im sure they would give you some, but do it not infront of the class. Ask for extra notes, past test etc good luck

dont get too worried if you dont top year 11, most my subjects ive gone from top 50% to top 10-20%, none of my subjects fall under top 20%

try to ask teacher ways to defeat opposing students, these teachers know how both of you work and LOVE competition, i had like the entire computing studies staff asking me questions after me and my mate got 1st (he got first) and me second, they wanted to know stuff like how we worked through it, and my IT teacher (also head computing teacher) is trying to push me to get 95+ for SDD as i explained to her i want to beat my mate

she says i just need to be more thorough:p

yeh soo true....

yeh competetion is awesome... lol... i remeber in yr 11... there was a girl topping my grade (in everything).. and still is....

nyways she wasn't getting any challenge from anyone... so my maths teacher gave me 1 extra mark so i could beat her... although i did get equal first in reality... lol (nyways i should probably tell her, she still doesnt know).. by the way keep in mind this was yr 11... which doesn't count

for assessment task 1 (yr 12) in maths the highest mark was 96 and second (me) was 80
i mean what a huge gap... ever since then i've been trying really hard to compete and maybe even defeat the girl with an everage of 99% for advanced maths

so far so good.... we both got 100% in the last assessment yeeeeehah....

it all comes down to the TRIALS..... MONDAY..... can't wait!!!
