Hi guys

Do you reckon if your school marks hard for the internal assessments - then it'll lower your marks for the hsc?

Because my school already caps our marks for ext. 2 english so that we can't get full marks at all! And so my marks look terrible even though they are good. And for example, in this course, if the BOS markers don't like my major work and they give me a low mark - then doesn't that mean that all my internal assessment marks will be scaled down?

Don't worry! It isn't so much the marks that matter so much as your rank. I'm not sure why your school does that, but as long as it's consistent for every student then it won't have an effect.

if your teachers are tough markers it will work to your advantage.

How about if you have REALLY few people in your class and you're coming top of it? You wouldn't really get scaled up would you?

yeah thats what we're worried about in ext 2, or we were, because people kept dropping it ( including, eventually , me) and now there's only one person left and she can't really come 1/1 and expect that to scale her purely on her rank.
