Man rapes woman in unisex toilet (2 Viewers)

A MAN will face court this afternoon following an alleged sexual assault in a unisex toilet at a nightclub in the Sydney CBD early today.
The Daily Telegraph reports that about 2.15am, a man allegedly followed a woman into a unisex toilet within a nightclub on George St, Sydney without her knowledge.

The man allegedly locked the toilet door and sexually assaulted the woman without her consent.

It is alleged the man and woman were not known to each other prior to the assault.

A short time later, police from The Rocks Local Area Command responded to the incident where they arrested a 30-year-old Lilli Pilli man, who was detained by security at the premises.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist officers.

The man was taken to The Rocks Police Station where he was charged with aggravated sexual assault without consent.

He has been refused bail to appear before Central Local Court this afternoon.

How about we try and be grownups here... unisex toilets had nothing to do with this rape. Implying that they do implies that men will rape women whenever the opportunity presents itself and therefore that women should avoid being alone with men because the men will rape them.

and i disgaree. the problem of peeping toms comes from the fact that A NAKED BODY IS A SEXUAL OBJECT (in the shower case) and in the toilet case, a depantsed body is sexual to a great number of people. of course sexual beings are going to find such a body somewhat sexual! while i myself don't wanna see no woman crapping on the sannyjohn i can sympathise with those that would. how could one overcome the urge to sneak a peak? we red blooded men of the staunchly heterosexual group steal glances of cleavage all the time, and if an environment presents itself where we can sneak a peak at MOAR then we're going to take it.

this problem can only be solved be restricting people to toilets with the minimal amount of sexual tension: same sex toilets.

But while it is isn't normal to see everyone naked/near-naked there probably would be peeping toms. increasing the numbers of unisex toilets wouldn't change this.
