We input our aligned marks into sam right? What are aligned marks? When you put a mark into sam, it then shows UAI contribution. Is that the final scaled mark that appears on your HSC?

Aligned marks are the figures you'll receive from the Board of Studies on your Record of Achievement. They report your performance according to the standards for each course. All students initially receive these marks. They're also not comparable to your internal school assessment marks.

The "Scaled Mark /50" column provides an approximation of your marks after they have been scaled for inclusion in your UAI (on a 1-unit basis). These scaled marks are not currently reported to students. The "UAI Contrib." column is simply the figure in the "Scaled Mark /50" column multiplied by the figure in the "Units Counted" column. It is the number of scaled marks from that course that actually counted towards your UAI.
