hello there.

what is more important. ur ranking? or ur mark?

cuz wut if i get like 23% for my exam, but i happen to come first?

is that better then getting 97% and coming last?

like what gets scaled better, the mark or the rank

thanks

Ranking.

The marks you get at school become moderated to ensure fairness throughout the state.

However, marks can be indicative of your type of performance.

e.g. you got 23% in your school exam shows you lacked the knowledge to do well which could in turn have similar performance in the HSC exam which is not a good thing.

Conversely, if you got 97% in the exam and came last, it shows that your group of people are very smart and thus indicates that their might continue to do well right into the HSC exam.

But in general, ranking is more important. If you first overall, then thats the best position you could be in for the moderated assessment marks.
