Has anyone else given the first assignment a go? It's a great time waster. Anyway, can anyone verify that the mark you receive for the first assignment doesn't affect your unit assessment? This better be the case or I'm going to be very very mad .

the yellow thing we got in physics today says:

Assignments are usually due at 2 week intervals. They usually consist of 8 questions delivered by Mastering Physics.

it also says Assingments are worth 10% of your final assessment mark (but they take the best 5 out of 6)

Just a quick question, there were two handouts in the physics 1901 lecture today, one had the assessment stuff, but I couldnt get a copy of the second handout, was it important?

You have 8 go's at each question with a small percentage taken each time.

They only take the best 5 out of the 6.

One handout was a course outline the other a module outline nothing major in both except the module outline has relevant chapters etc.

I scan assessment outlines in anyway cause i seem to lose them all the time.

Have you guys actually looked at the first assignment yet? It has nothing to do with physics, it's just an introductory exercise on how to use the software. I'm trying to ascertain whether or not the mark we receive for this goes towards our overall assessment.

I don't trust those physics people, for academics they forgot that Daylight savings finishes on the 27th of March.

Which would mean that the Friday 15 April has until 7am GMT to be done.

WTF is going on with that "F"en website. I try to register and it "F"en gives me an error message every time. in the second page when I fill out and click next it gives an error and says session was expired. Despite the fact that I filled all the fields in less than 30 seconds.
