i think 1131 onwards assumes 3U maths, and 4U would help(complex numbers, integrations etc). according to my lecturer 1141 has more difficult stuff to learn but in 1151 you learn 20% more stuff so it ends up being harder ... 1131 is the minimum prereq for science/eng cources while the others are just electives(i think?)

you cannot compare university maths to hsc maths

in hsc maths you get a whole year to master everything....
in university everything is forced at you and you just have to take it in as much as fast as possible

MATHS1131 compresses the 4unit HSC maths course into the space of like a month or two so now I'm supposed to know all about complex numbers and partial derivatives and hyperbolic functions...:p (keyword: supposed)

btw partial derivatives and hyperbolic functions were not part of the 4U course.... 1141 is basically teaching same stuff in less time

1151 > 1141 means harder? Don't think so

What I mean is I did 4U maths and find probability and monthly repayment (2U stuff) hardest of all.

1151 harder than 1141 because we have more stuff to learn, even if some are not to the same depths....

I hate that...when I manage to do one, I can't do another beacuse I accidently multiply the wrong things -_______-
