does anyone know a rule when you put the 'or equal too sign' in as opposed to just the is greater than is less than signs?
thank you, hope this makes sense!

Check that within your solution set that there is no solution that makes the denominator 0.

Give an example, the solution should have same inequality sign as the question in the most basic form... but depends on the question

Before you work the equation out, you should write what x cannot be equal to. When you get to the last step, get rid of the 'and equal to' and just make it 'greater than' or 'less than'.
