Hi guys
Im currently in HSC and Im going to apply for Medicine at Monash (Clayton Campus, Melboure) anyway I have a few questions which the moronic guidance counselor from school can not wrap his microscopic brain around.
Ive done abit of research but would just like some advice.

How high does your UAI have to be (Im going for a minimum of 90, I can get additional 10 points because Im from a rural school and get teachers to vouche saying Im a good student)?

How does the whole application go? From my understanding its UMAT-apply at end of the year-interview...so do you just wait and hope for an interview???

What is the course actually like?

When do you do your internship?

Sorry for the length of this but Im really confused....I dont want any website referals to "UMAT practice test" or "ACER sites" etc I would like some personal experience of some kind.

Thank You!!!

well i only applied for med last year (2009) so i wudnt be able to answer any of ur questions about the course (also the fact that i didn apply for monash)

but yea, first u gotta do the UMAT, then u apply at the university (for me it was UNSW and UNCLE) and then mid way thru my HSC, the universities sent me an invitation to the interview (so ye u just gotta wait and see if they send u one)

i dun know how much being rural affects it, but i had UMAT of high 180's and atar 99+ ,,,however a fren of mine had UMAT a bit above 200, and atar high 96, and got late round interview for UNSW and main round interview for UNCLE
