media player default rather than winamp (1 Viewer)

is there a way i can make my media player the default player, other than winamp?
cuz i wanna burn sum stuff to dvd, put as a media player file rather than a winamp file

i dont know what u want to do?

but to change the file types association (which program opens your media files) go to tools - folder options - file types tab - choose your file extension (.mp3, .wav) click on change and choose the program.

but what exactly do you want to do? you may not need to the above stuff

tools -> options -> file types -> select all.

apply.

and you done.

Mediaplayer would be the perfect player if only it had faster search.

It's not a media player file or winamp file, just that they're the associated programs. It makes no difference when you burn them whatsoever. It will be opened with the default program on the computer that the disc is used.
