Medical science dropped from 97.8 ---> 95.1 what about for 2013????? (this was for 2011 to 2012 obviously due to the new government regulation about quotas on universities being uncapped)

Is there a higher chance it will go down more or go up????

Extra note: (2010 = 94.7 )

For the reason you mentioned, I would say it will either stay about the same or decrease.

Yup I checked the guide and it's still 95.1.

Well of course, that guide uses the cutoff for this year. We don't know next year's cutoff, it will depend on the universities and supply/demand. The cutoff may change next year.

Oh woops, my bad. I wonder how it'll change though...

Basically, that cutoff in the UAC guide is just for this year, and it only really is relevant to this year, but it may indicate what the cutoff will be for next year. Universities have a certain amount of spaces (even with that government thing, it wouldn't seem feasible to let 20,000 students do one course...), so based on supply and demand, they will cap it off and generally, the ATAR of the last student entered into the course will be the cutoff. However, I know for UNSW, some cutoffs are pre-determined, but even students with cutoffs lower than that may still be able to get in straight up.
