History & Memory - Help Please!

How is history and memory represented in:

The Sydney Jewish Museum

&

The Believer (Film)

What techniques do they use to show this?

How do these ideas of history and memory from the above texts relate to the 50th gate?

Any ideas, links to information. Anything would be appreciated.

our teacher said it would be extremely hard to extract a good response from something like that...but then again i guess it depends upon how u look at it
never seen the movie so lets see what i can pull from my head abt the museum...

umm if u heard one of the people speaking abt their experiences you could talk about how history and one's personal memory are intertwined and satisfy the gaps the other leaves behind?

how the history part just by itself is presented in the museum as so....whats the word? straight out there? frank?...soemthing along those lines, where as the memory part is very emotional, fragmented, incoherent at times etc etc

oh and in regards to 50th gate i see it as kinda the same...history is more justt he facts "fecks fecks" where as memory makes it more real etc etc

but remember unless it asks u, u dont have to link each text together in your essay, just discuss how the different textx convey ideas on hist n mem.
