mic problem (1 Viewer)

here is the deal.

i have an inbuilt mic in my monitor, go the proview!

but since i have reformatted, the mic has stopped working. now i didnt do the reformatting, so how could i fix this? i actually dont know whether the drivers or whatever have been installed since the last format.

i'm using xp. if there is anything i need to check for you, just let me know how to do it, i have no real idea how to get this working.

when i went to advanced controls for microphone i noticed this:

before the formatting, there was another option where there is mic 1 boost.

if that helps.

Depends what program you wanna use it for but usually go to Control Panel -> Sound and Audio Devices, click Voice and check all the volume controls.

i have already checked that. and all volumes are high.

what if it hasnt been installed completely/correctly? i dont know :s
