i think i am confusing things - table a3 tells you the SCALED hsc mark? and then scaled uai mark? so that means there is nowhere i can look to see what raw mark i have to get in an exam to get for example a band 6?

nope, noone knows what they actually get in the exam
oh, so it's all guesses??? maybe from teachers who have had other students and have guessed what their hsc mark would have been to get a band whatever. because i have heard over 80/85% in maths is good, would that have been a guess from the teachers?

the success one book had raw marks for ext2 maths, i wonder where they got that knid of info
