Hey, I was wondering if anybody can recommend me some misanthropic novels that they have read or novels which have a misanthropic character in it? I just read Catcher in The Rye and I really liked the way Holden's social isolation is presented.

But yeh, please recommend me some misanthropic novels, it would be great. Cheers :)

so true, but one classic example would be Wuthering Heights, nearly all the characters are misanthropists, towards the end anyway.

This isn't an misanthropic Novel but I really liked Rage Therapy by Daniel Kalla. I also read and loved Catcher In The Rye and for some reason Rage Therapy reminds me of it.

Was the one I had in mind when I wrote it actually, just a kind of contagious misanthropy that starts with one character and just radiates through the whole cast. You like WH?
