Missing square puzzle (1 Viewer)

umm.. well i'm not some sort of mathematician or anything so i'm just kinda of guessing..

Does it have to do with the two vertices .. they have different angles.. so you'd kinda get an extra square.. lol i dunno how to explain.. but does it have something to do with the two vertices having different angles?

The first diagram, the hypotenuse is not a straight line, it's a bit of a curve. The curve area therefore compensates the missing square in the second diagram.

i saw this puzzle on this iq website,it said that tiny bits of edge of the hypotenuse was cut out in the second diagram to create the extra square.
