Hi!

I just finished marking some 2002 paper and i estimated my mark at 65%.

I know i can do better, but what are u guys getting? Should i be worried ??
or does a 65% magically jump up to 85% when scaled up??

65% in a 4u exam should get a 90. I remember a guy posting last year thought he answered about 55% of the test and got 90....

It's not a terriable mark. Especially if it wasn't your best effort.

You also have to take into consideration what kind of trial it was. If it was a catholic trial you're almost definately gonna kill the HSC.

i'd like to tell you 65 gets scaled well on 4unit, but if I say the truth, it might make you lazier..

then i'd also like to tell you that 65 gets scaled down due to incompetitiveness, so as to make you work harder, but then that's not telling you the truth.

Sense of security is not all good...

(i'm saying, try get ~75% raw :D). i think that number's pretty good, imho

The trick in doing past trial papers is not to care about the score you going to get, but to know and understand the questions that you did not get while practising. Why do I say that? because if say you get 70% in your practise trial it does not guarantee you getting 70% nor it would indicate you cannot ace your school trial. But if you work on what you don't know chances are that you can do similar questions shall they appear on your school trial. Appologise for any offenses that I have made in this and other posts.

the person that got 100 ended up gettin 94 in the HSC

and the person that got 65 ended up gettin 87.
