Hey all,

My modem is really annoying me tonight. I was playing around with network options whilst thinking about making a network, but in the process decided not to. Only problem is now theres a problem with the modem, basically when you go to device manager -> modem it says something along the lines of error code 10 (theres an exclamation mark next to it). Its definitely connected but still doesnt respond. Ive tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it by Add Hardware and choosing it from the list, but alas that exclamation mark still remains. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Are you using the WQHL drivers or the inbuilt XP ones ?

Also; Have you updated said drivers?

You could try switching it from COM1 to COM2 and reinstalling it, I suppose. But try the drivers first.

Thanks guys I fixed it, just pulled it out and let windows reinstall it itself (apparantly XP doesnt like the drivers the modem's company gave me as it works fine on the generic drivers).
