For any basic curve sketching, in particular the y^2 = blah graphs:
+Always draw the original graph
+All single roots will become vertical tangents
+All double roots (if any) becomes a sharp point like a "V"
+Square all "y" values
sinx + 1/2 is jes normal sin graph shifted up half units
so it is between -1/2 and 3/2
ur values under y=1 become larger... greater than one it becomes smalle
at the roots itll b verticalish
chop off parts under x axis...
