Has anyone read the Mortal Engines Series by Simon Reeve? these are some of my fave books but i don't know of anyone else who has read them.

i have only read mortal engines
which i assume is the first?

good childrens book
but not much in the way of plot or such

I agree with the plot of the first book as being aimed at children, but when you get closer to the end of the third book and start reading "A darkling Plain" it gets much more complex. The first book, i think is not so good by itself, but coming back to it after having read the others i got a sense of satisfaction.
prob just a personal thing...lol
