I've always associated Finance, Accounting and Economics together. A lot of people choose ?Economics as their second major. That's what I've always thought and witnessed? Dunno?

Yes you do. But the maths involved is nothing compared to something like quantative methods (or similar) in something like Economics or Finance.

EDIT: sorry for triple posting. :)

You might do a few minor sums.

Yeah Accounting/Business Law by far the most popular, followed by Finance, then Economics, and then it gets smaller from there (HRM, Marketing, etc are all close)

Lol, yet I doubt it'd burst anytime soon, due to Australia adopting IFRS

im pretty sure marketing doesnt have that high enrollment figures according to the usyd website.
I havent met that many people who do marketing as a major yet (apart from two bos people).
Also, I don't know if marketing, however, gets me official accreditation in usyd (you get something official if you complete some Acounting units).

Fool, Accounting is one of the few careers that are always needed regardless of the economic climate, if there is lots of money ppl want to know how to keep most of it and make it work for them, if there is a recession ppl go to their accountants to find out how to protect their money
