How awesome was it to see craig mottram claim the bronze in the 5000m at the world champs. He is prob one of the best sportsmen that Australia has at the current time as he is in a sport where aussies just haven't really accelled.

Hes the first non-african to get a medal in the event in some 15 years!!!

He runs the 5000 in under 13 minutes, which is phenomenal! How so? You try running the 400m 12 and a half times in 1 minute flat.

good on you motts, as ron clarke has said himself he is better than he was in his prime now lets face it thats a pretty good compliment coming from the RON CLARKE. the scary thing is out of it all is that i and many other people (coaches included) believe hes got alot more in him hes is just tasting the european circuit and such success as the bronze medal at the world champs can only push ones self to greater things that world record just maybe one day (watch out bekele the tall guy from down under is about to set a standard for all white runners) hopefully theres more to come (lachy chisholm, josh tighe haha, peter nowhill, yousef abdi to name a few aussies.
motts (buster) your an inspiration for the up coming x-country nationals and for all aussie runners.
