Yeah, but USyd ducks are snobs and will snub you if you try to capture them to eat them. You go to run after them and they just turn their back on you with an indignant 'quack', as if to say 'your entire university isn't even worth one of my feathers'.

i think the best way to meet up with people is to meet up with them on ur own and then get them to introduce you to the bos members that they know and then keep going on and on until ALL of us know each other

i dunno i think it would be really weird just going to an outing with a whole group of people that you only know through the forums, even though meeting up with one or two people is kool but a whole group of them! and a bunch of stalkers at that!

well i know suga buni.. asylum.. pwaryuex and jezzmo (ive met ... a couple of times).. im sure that they know people and it goes from there lol.. even non mq people could come like i remember neeja came to mq at the beginning of the year for that open day thats after you get your results..

usually im really not interested in meeting anyone from forums.. but this is bos goddamit!!! BOS!!!!! besides, we all go to maq aswell, so we arent complete strangers. Im more towards the meet up near the lake first, though a movie at maq shops would be groovy. Though im reallllly busy for the next two weeks, so i prob cant do it these holidays. maybe if we try it after the holidays?


BTW: i am still using wireless internet.. and it is groovy (though it is also distracting because the very reason i go to the library is to get away from the temptation that is the internet.. dam you wirelessness!)

I think most of us have met one or more bos'ers anyway (with the exception of the ninja iambored)

Totally! lol I'm impressed that was remembered! I'm against movies, generally for meeting/getting to know people. You go along, talk for 5 minutes while waiting in the lines and deciding your movie, go into the theatre, tlak through the ads for 15 more minutes..

..and then sit

in silence

for 1.5-2 hours.

...and then when you get up you're expected to be all close and friendly and knowing each other because you've been together for the last X hours but you've not had a chance to talk and.... Yeah. Personally that doesn't work for me, unless you're meeting someone you don't really wanna meet

Food first sounds good. Movies afterwards is fine, too, as long as there's a legit meeting/bonding session. Ice Skating sounds fun, too... Whatever. As long as the date is set toward the end of the holidays so that people with assignemnts (ME AND MJ!) can get them done. Unfortunately, I think BOS meetups tend to take pretty low priority in the scheme of things... and maybe not a sat/sun becuase of people at work.. same goes for thurs night...

I've met you, jezzmo, cyan, cro_angel, glitterfairy, Phanatic, and skittled (although I was having a shitty day, so I couldn't talk). Mr_brightside should be coming next year, as should kami.
