MSN Messenger "Show what im listening to" (1 Viewer)

Okay long story short i hate windows live messenger so i decided to go back to msn messenger. Problem was that i had formatted so i couldnt do a system restore. My friend ended up zipping his msn messenger installation and sending it to me.

Its working great other than the "show what im listening to" option which comes up with a message saying -

"There appears to be an error with your MSN Messenger installation. Please sign in as an Administrator and repair it"

- whenever i click it


Anyone have any idea how i can fix this? One thought was that i needed the plugin as it might be in the windows media player folder, but that friend had wmp 9 or something whilst i had 10 so that wouldnt have worked..

if someone could link me to a download or help me otherwise, it would be greatly appreciated

how do i sign in as an admin?

...find out whom who is the/a computer adminstrator. Do you have a main account? Or does one of your parents have admin access?

computer is mine, only user account is me..

i thought he meant something like admin@admin.msn.com.. password: admin or something, like signing into msn messenger as an admin...

well anymore suggestions?
