msn playing up (2 Viewers)

msn has been playing up for me for about a day now.

if i try to sign in i get an error message (see attatched)

i tried e-messenger, and it wont login either. some sort of problem in connecting to server.

i reinstalled it, but it still wont work.

then i tried logging on using a different account (with no contacts, if it makes a difference) and it logged on.

i've tried getting into my email "manually" and it works fine (so cant be any password issues).



i dont know what else to do, but to give it some time?

There seems to have been MANY problems with MSN in the last few days pertaining to all sorts of problems.

mess.be has been inundated with people having such problems with sign in etc. Obviously with the numbers of people having problems, it appears to be a server side problem. Just be patient

Microsoft seem to think everything is okay on thier server status page, but meh:

wow this is weird, i havent been having any problems the past few days - usually i have issues with it when noone else does!

thanks...it is just weird because i logged in using my dad's hotmail email address, and it logged on fine. wouldnt it connect to the same server as my account.

anyways, after a bit of googling, came across this: http://www.bigblueball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27445 followed directions under errorcode 0x80004005. will see what'll happen.

edit: are you trying to mock me with the "gordo on msn" and "snow pea on msn" quotes in your sig??? way to hit em, when they are down...

what i think the problem is that obviously msn would run off a number of servers, i believe each account is stored on a certain server. i get this problem occasionally aswell, so i think they are currently working on the current server.
remember msn is a widley used program aswell with many viruses floating around and plenty of nerds who would find it thrilling to try break into the server for either the thrill or temptation of financial benefits (selling email accounts to spam companies)

I haven't been able to sign in to msn for like all this week, and i keep getting that stupid error EVERY time i attempt to log in. How long will it be before i can sign in again? My sister can't sign in too and we can't sign into any ninemsn services including hotmail.

im on a home network with 3 others and we all use msn & azureus.

Heres whats weird. if one of us opens azurues we all get immediately disconnected from msn & cant sign back in til the computer with azureus open closes it.

someone got an answer for this one, id love to hear it. Its driving me insane.
