hi everybody

being in yr ten now and choosing and getting multimedia, im curious on what type of stuff u do. and what u have to do for the hsc

Multimedia is a combination of text, audio, video and animation.
You'll learn about the processes of multimedia systems that make it work.
Take information kiosks or iPhones (featured in this year's HSC exam) as an example.
On a basic level in analysing multimedia systems:
- Who are the participants (people who interact with it) ?
- What is the purpose of the system ?
- What information technology is used by it (hardware e.g. LCD screen and software e.g. internet browser) ?
- What is the data contained in the system ?

And some technical stuff of course e.g. sampling rate, tweening and so on ...
This is the most popular HSC IPT elective and in my opinion a great elective to learn about.

The option topics are chosen by your teacher, but your teacher may allow you guys to choose what you do as your major work.

Our class had to vote between various projects. One of our options was a movie, and it's fairly safe to say that if you are given a choice of projects, one of those will be to do a movie.

Oh and btw, if you are given information about the nature of the multimedia task, you should aim to start as early as possible, this is espcially true if you start multimedia in the last term before hsc. Of all the class projects, the multimedia task was a biggest and most time/resource consuming of them all imo...
