to reduce the strain on the astronaut... at 4 g's a person begins to loose colour perception and peripheral vision, after this they will black out...make sure u remember this graph and u can refer to it in an answer

see how lift off takes up to 700 seconds? imagine applying these 4 g's for 700 seconds lol thats why u have it
