Music Extension duet repertoire (1 Viewer)

Hi guys does anyone have any recommondations for a piano duet piece for extension music, my teacher at school vetoed my original idea

hi, i don't know either but i'm also looking for recommendations!! also a pianist
T-T currently looking for pieces cos most piano pieces with other instruments are piano accompaniment (I was o.g. gonna duet with my saxophonist friend but none of the pieces worked out) so i guess 4 hand piano would be the best option? (idk tho that's kinda boring T-T)
could i know what your original idea was?

hello my orignal idea was the first two movement of Faure: Dolly Suite but my teacher said that it "didn't show enough" technical skill etc

im looking for piano concertos arranged for 2 pianos cos they're all fire DD
but they're all so loongggg like chopin piano concerto no 1 mvt 1 WHICH IS SO BEAUTIFUL - TOO BEAUTIFUL TO CUT IN FACT AHHHHH

do you think rach piano concerto no 2 mvt 1 is a good choice? it's round 11 min 30 tho so id only have 8 min 30 for another 2 pieces T-T

ohhhh my friend is doing a duet piece for two pianos (I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head but I can ask them for you if you're interested)

I just listened to the rach concerto you mentioned AND IT SOUNDS SO NICE I think it is a great choice because it's contrasting and shows a lot of technical skill. And as for it being 11.5 minutes my teacher recommended us not to aim to fill the full 20 minutes because playing for that long is very mentally and physically demanding so we might get tired and our performance standard might decrease. So I think you might have to cut a little bit from your rach even though you don't wanna

Can I ask what you're considering for your other two solo pieces?

IKR when the orchestra comes in it's like my first reaction was well damn but ofc wont get the same effect with another piano T-T
yh my teacher said that 11.5 min is too long and id prob have to cut but i rlly realllly dont wanna ahhhhh so i'll keep looking

for my other 2 solo pieces - i can't say that i've decided lol T-T curse nesa's 20 min requirement cos im preparing for my lmusa too so all my pieces are SOOOOOOOOOOO LONNGGGGGGG so it's looking more and more like i have to go piece hunting
Current repertoire:
- Toccata bwv 911 by bach (aura farming piece but it's 12 mins long...)
- sonata k 311 by mozart (i've learnt the whole thing but i cant choose mvt 1 for my hsc cos i used it in my prelims T-T)
- Heroic polonaise by chopin (could play this - it's 7 min - it's a time for my LH tho hehe but im pretty confident with this piece)
- Mélancolie by poulenc (i think i'll play this one - it's SOO PRETTY)

so currently i might do the last 2 pieces for my solo but again, im still looking T-T NESA WHHYYYY

Chopin nocturnes are awesome in fact anything by chopin is awesome but that's cooked tho how could ur teacher not give u the score CHOPIN HAS MADE SOOOO MANY NOCTURNES
