Yeah, there's heaps of stuff.

What's your level? If I knew that, I'd be able to recommend some pieces.

Well, if you give the examiners a better impression than the others, you will do well :)

oh god i hate the 5 bagatelles. my teacher gave that to me i stuck with it for about a term and came to the conclusion that it was wee tarted. you know carl vine composed it entirely on computer or sthg.. cause he's not a pianist. *shudders*.

anymoo... i'd suggest heading to the australian music centre...its at the rocks [2 doors down from pancakes on the rocks]. thats what i did. they have a few cds you can listen to there, with a guide. it has b/g on the music, as well as a level system in terms of difficulty. that way you can choose something that clicks with you :) AND its a library....so you can borrow it to test it out [and theres a grand there as well]. all good. :)

hey bubz :D, what is "Another look at Autumn" like? I have been looking for peices to do, would you recommend that one as one to think about? And what style is it in, like is it one of those modern atonal pieces or is it more convention etc.?
Hmm a lot of questions.... but any help would be great. Thanks a lot.

lol shite i've forgotten all my classy terminology haha... if you don't like atonal stuff, prepared piano, serialism, music that sounds like the cat walked across the piano etc, then "another look at autumn" is great.... (God i suck at this!)

it's LMUS level but my teacher said that it's kinda one of the easier lmus pieces :p. there's a really tricky part in the middle, with a lot of chords, you give the entire keyboard a workout... but it's nothing a LOT of practise can't overcome :)

PM me and i'll give you the url to the mp3.
