Just wondering, anyone who has done musicology, is it as boring as everyone says it's gonna be? I'm doing it for my elective this year.

People don't like it because it's perceived as more 'academic' than other electives. But it also means that your work isn't going to be marked so subjectively.

What course are you doing it for?

It really depends on certain things. Do you like writing essays? Are you good at English?

If the answer to these first two are yes then already you are in a good boat. Then of course, find a topic that interests you and away you go.

Its hard to ascertain whether it is boring or not without knowing you.
