My degree is undergoing some changes. I have the option to stay with the current degree, but I'm not sure what to choose

Old degree:
*Honours = 50% Thesis, 50% Majorwork
*Majorwork (main) subject is 6 credit points
* 27 free choice credit points (12 of which are arts subjects)

New degree
*Honours = 20% Thesis, 80% Majorwork
*Majorwork (main) subject turns into 12 credit points instead of 6 (workload remains as is)
*Thus less free choices - only 15 free choice credit points

The old degree gives me more education for my money. The new degree means I have less work to do to finish this degree. I'm quite mixed. I want to learn a lot, but I want to finish this degree ASAP.

What would you choose if you were in my position?

I'd stick with the old one. Theses ftw. :)
