Is that allowed? I figured that it would be kind advantageous cos we're both doing critical response and its the most research-oriented genre so we can share our research etc

but since were doing totally different focuses on the same text...

im assuming you can, as long as its different focus... it would be too difficult if everyone in the state had to use different texts

It will be cool to have someone to bounce ideas off who will also understand your text in depth. I agree with Ms 12 it shouldn't cause a problem at all.
