My plan for my LS essay (1 Viewer)

As i said before in another thread, i have an in-class essay this coming Wednesday and the question is:
'Discuss the legal consequences and responsibilities of marriage in Australia'

Here is my plan for my essay. These are the things i will be talking about

- Introduction
- Definition of marriage
- Requirements for a valid marriage
- Notices of marriage
- Marriage licences
- Consequences and responsibilities of marriage, ie: maintennance, property rights, agency, wills, family provisions legislation
- Rights and control of parents, ie: care and control, education, discipline, medical treatment, autonomy of children
- Conclusion

Will i do well if i talk about those areas?

Please tell me if its good, bad or ways i can improve it or things i should leave out.

1) If you are to talk about the rights of parents, make sure you balance your essay with the rights of the child.

2) Solid essay plan.

3) You might like to include international agreements/conventions/treaties in your essay. This shows you are aware of global standards as well as domestic legislation.

4) You might like to include law reform in your essay. This is usually placed near the end of the essay, just before the conclusion.

5) That's an awful lot of issues your addressing in a limited time frame. You might want to take out "less important" parts. eg. Notices of marriage?

Ok thanks. That is a fair bit of issues, but their won't be a lot of writing on some of them.

Would it be relevant to mention the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CROC)?

Yes it would.

If you were to discuss homosexuality then the De Jure relationship would also be applicable.
