I have just finished Year 12. If I was to go to a College, and get 80+, but at school i had a low UAI in the 50s. Will the UAI always be needed if I want to go and transfer to University. I mean if i had the uai i needed for the course I would be doing it but I don't so i did other study at College (imagining if I have just completed the study) and killed it there, so why do they want to have a look at the UAI? Thanks in advance.

It's a prediction. IF I was to get that UAI. How about if you transfer from TAFE to Uni, do they still look at your UAI? If I was to get a UAI in the 50s in the HSC and then 80s+ in TAFE, wouldn't that show that you are serious about it all?

^That link tells you which unis credit TAFE studies.
As for transferring from TAFE to uni basically its the average of your UAI marks and you TAFE marks that is your new entrance score - you'd be best off with a Diploma/Advanced Diploma as most unis give them around a year's worth of credit(advanced standing) if they are relevant plus they contribute more to your entrance score than a Cert IV I believe.
There's also other college's like TAFE that give advanced standing with university degrees that you might want to look into, and there's some more info about that here: http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=73329#header4

EDIT: It's also important to remember that the credit(advanced standing) you may recieve does not influence the entrance score in *any* way.

That's interesting.

You are such a good resource for all things TAFE related :p

I thought it (how much they'll credit you) differs, though, from uni to uni.
