hi evryone,

i was just wondering if anyone can give my a rough prediction on a uai. i need 92 for structural engineering at uni of sydney. my marks and ranks are as follows:

maths 2u- 2/12. averaging 88
english advanced- cant remem rank, maybe 8/11. averaging 80-84
math 3u- 3/3. averaging 70
software design and development- 3/14, averaging 86-88
ancient history- 13 or 15/60, averaging 92
enginering studies- 1/14, averaging 88.5

any information or comments would be greatly appreciated

SAM's only really useful the day before you get your UAI, once your actual HSC marks have been released. Human predictions are even worse... The simple fact is that every school marks subjects differently (some may be more lenient than others) and that your assessment marks are going to be scaled depending on the success of your grade in the HSC.


In short, stop trying to predict what your UAI will be and concentrate on studying to achieve the best results in the future. With those marks you should have a fair chance of getting above 92, you just need to keep putting in the effort. Good luck!

btw, you have 11 ppl doin adv engish but 60 ppl doin acient??

yeah i thought about saying my schools name, but i forgot eventually. anywayz i go to robert townson high school in cambelltown. yes i know the english thing is screwed up, but then again so r most of the kids in my school :rofl::rofl:

most of them will never see the inside of a university

With those high marks whilst your still not #1, it seems like your internal assessments and exams seem easy. Try to rank #1 in all your subjects. And make sure you do better in the externals, because if your marks are lower in comparison to your internals, they'll moderate you down.

At the rate your going, 92 seems achievable. Keep it up :).
