Does anyone know a specific situation where a population has not been wiped out by a virus because some had natural resistance to the virus

When there was that discussion about xenotransplants, I heard that pigs have 'retroviruses' which could infect humans but to which all pigs are immune.
yes, taht's a major issue in organ transplant... if the organ has retro virus contained with it, it may not be infectious to pigs but it is fatal to the receiptient (human, hopefully)....

also, i believe AIDS was originated from monkeys... while it caused little trouble among the monkey population, it causes atrocity among human population...

so yea, virus, imo, is alot species specifc...

yeah theres this study virus that kills every1 fully makes them stresses. but BOSers are immune
