I recently got an assessment task composed of 3 essay questions. In which our teachers will choose one of the 3 essays given to us beforehand, and we'll need to write an essay on it within 50 minutes. However, I'm just not exactly sure of what 'values' are.
"King Lear has enjoyed tremendous success over time"
Account for this success by concentrating on a major character from the play and outline two different responses to this character and the values implied in these responses.
Where it says "and the values implied in these responses" does it mean how the interpretations of my central character (i.e. being Lear) connects to the timeless issues presented by that character that the play King Lear has, or does it simply imply the definite qualities of the character?
