Tomorrow I have an in class essay for English, and it requires me to know 3 essays on three different speeches on distinctive voices, and on the day, the teacher is going to pick one of the speech for us to write about.

What is the best approach in learning the essays, that is the most efficient and least time consuming?

Much help appreciated.

I just completed an essay last week on conflicting perspectives where we had to watch a scene from Julius Caesar and analyse it.
To practice I:
- filled out an ALARM matrix on the key events in the play
- Wrote a draft and got my teacher to look over it
- Corrected
- Made myself a summary sheet with my thesis & outlines of my paragraphs (topic sentence, techniques + quotes)
- Used these notes to practice writing my essay in exam conditions (I.e. 1 hr)
- Stuck post-it notes around my bedroom with important quotes

Hopefully I went well, good luck with yours.

Remember to get a good nights sleep tonight and try not to worry :)

I was thinking that, but I needed some reassurance. Thanks.

It's often best to know the content of what you're doing well, so you can mould your essay. I made this mistake when I slapped an essay I memorised and didn't answer the question (sigh) so learn the content as best as you can. Write a few practice essays and be ready to bs on the spot.

Know your key points, evidence which sustains your point and do practice essay plans. That was what I did for an AOS essay and it worked out well :)

Best of luck!
