Hi
I need help in how to analyse in listening task.
The listening is from Radio National's Life Matter's and I have to make an extended response using its context, ideas related to belonging and not belonging, and features of language and oral presentations.
I was wondering if I could get any tips/advices for picking up these things.

Thanks

Well, there's not much 'listening' you can do. However, the same skills required in a reading task, are also required in a listening task. You need to read/listen to a text, and look for key words/phrases, and particular techniques. I believe reading tasks will help you do your listening task, because it helps you identify quotes, and a variety of techniques, and their effect on belonging.

That being said, it may be slightly harder than a reading task. This is because in the reading task, if you missed something, you can just look back at the text, whereas in listening, you miss it once, (or twice, depending on if your school lets you have a second listen), game over.
