we have to write a speech for our comparative studies

the question is:
Comparing texts allows us to see why each one is unique but will also force us to see how and why texts connect over time. how has this been the case in the two texts that u have studied?

the two texts are 'the catcher in the rye' and donnie darko

any ideas to start the speech??? any help will be appreciated

Who is the audience?

Grab the attention of the audience by using rhetorical questions, outrageous statements, anecdotes, etc. Put some life into your speech. It's not an essay & it's really boring when you just keep saying it like an essay.
