Are you actually allowed to use the 3U method of projectile motion for physics? Mmmmm it'd be easier if we were....just want to confirm.

ok, the first tcouple of scans are from the macmillan textbook, the others are from some sheets i have, but i have no idea what textbook they're from though. answers are there [i almost forgot too!]. sorry i had to split it into so many files - the files were too large, and i didn't want to shrink it in case you couldn't see it clearly. and it pissed me off so much cos i had to spend ages splitting them.

anyways, good luck !

But the thing is, the syllabus requires the student to know how to apply the equations given. So I figured that using 3U method would not be a good idea as the syllabus did not ask for it. It is clearly stated.

yeh... you can't use 3U equations for projectile motion as your not demonstrating you understand the concepts. In physics you have to do them from first principles.
(Thats what my teacher said who marked the HSC this year). Though it only had one question on projectile motion a simple range question.

yea i guess it's not so good to use 3u maths equations in physics lol=P
but da projectile motion questions in HSC exam generally aren't tough mathematically. so it would be ok anyway, hopefully.. hehe

Projectile motion makes up only a very small part of the syllabus and exam. It will be wiser to try perfecting the 7 mark questions before going to something like projectile.

There's no concept behind it. You just plug in the formula and get the answer.
