this concerns my physics teacher

ok at this moment we havent finished our option topic quanta to quarks yet, however the other class has finished their option topic. the teacher hardly teaches and expects us to do the work by ourselves. And not to mention his out of the class like 30% of the lesson. And thats like every lesson.

we have a week left of school... well actually 4 days exactly and i heard his not going to be at school for the rest of the week. And we still have 5 chapters to go....

me and my frends really feel disadvantaged.

is there any way we can appeal or anything like that at this paticular time.

any kind of reply would be nice

PS DID I MENTION ITS URGENT

thx

you should talk to the yr-coordinator, director of studies, some one in the heirarchy and get them to get the teacher to organise extra classes asap.

Ahh...Sounds like my teacher.

He said, "it doesn't matter if we don't finish the course, you can always use the textbook."

Ironically, I did use the textbook and it ended up being wrong and I lost marks for it :(

The best solution is probably to get extra classes from the teacher as Rahul said, but that would be silly considering if he can't teach you in normal class, how can he teach you in those extra classes?

Ultimately, in the end you are going to need to do most things by yourself. I won't be surprised if the teacher/year-coordinator says "you shouldn't rely on teachers for everything".

What I would suggest is you start learning the rest of the topic immediately by yourself. Write syllabus dot points and get your teacher to check them to make sure they are correct. You need to do this now considering you have 4 days left.

Ahuh, i haven't finished the Software Option topic, still got 1/2 of it to do, and schools ended, well what can ya do?, I learnt it myself because i had a text book, but if this was IT (VET) i would of been a tad screwed, Just do your best, if i was you read the whole topic, highlight the bits you don't get and ask away, there are so many Physics students here to help you and in respect they may help themselves and simultaneously revise by teaching you :)
