wrong section mate.
i say you try finding it first. and then you could maybe offer to do some chores for your parents after you tell them you've lost it (you know so they don't bring out the old cane).
what am i your life coach? none of us here are trained for this, you know your parents best and i at least trust you can take care of it yourself.
