I just saw the new mac labs today....

i thought they were all just labs of eMacs, but they acctually had
full blown dual cpu G5's... wtf... (dual 1.8Ghz with 1.25 gig ram)

they cost $4000 - $5000 (mabye more) each!!!!!

that lab would have cost around $100,000, stupid uni...

in comparison the eMacs cost around $1800

I think in building 3. I seen them taking boxes in the other day. The uni always has a reason for buying what they buy. Never question the wisdom of those who run the university you attend. Not unless your doing arts, don't know how to shave under your arm pits and smell.

Are you sure they're G5s? I thought G5s were the metallic look, while the G4s had a similar case, but plastic.

Yea, that's what I was talking about in the other thread. Looks like 21 inch flat screens too. :p

Problem: I hate Mac's interface, it sucks. :uhhuh:

Well they certainly look big. I've got a 17 inch CRT :(

even 17in LCDs look considerably larger than CRTs, they actually have more screen space

(if you know what i mean, lol)
