WHAT THE HELL???

Why on earth would they change it?

Can anybody tell me what they changed?

Can anybody tell me where you can get it because the Board of Studies website has led me on a wild goose chase (or in this case, periodic table)

Or does the board of studies website make no sense whatsoever?

Or am I just stoopid?

Merro.

Ahhhh, since when is there a new periodic table? Are you sure of your sources? Because I doubt that the Board would change the table they issue to us in exams a mere five months before hand....

May I ask what's different with it?
According to the source it came from (below), it has been stated that this Periodic Table was updated on the 25th of February 2005.
http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/syllabus_hsc/syllabus2000_listc.html#chemistry
Also, compare the two periodic tables from the end of the HSC 2004 Chemistry examination and the updated Data Sheet and look for any differences yourself.

http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/hsc_exams/hsc2004exams/pdf_doc/chemistry_04.pdf (go to last two pages for Data Sheet)

The only difference I noticed myself is that the elements that have an atomic number greater than 111 were removed. That is, elements from Roentgenium onwards have been removed.

That sounds like a popular element.

Why the hell would anyone WANT to change the periodic table? It's not like the elements have changed... that I know of...

They haven't changed the periodic table. You can't change that thing, even I know that. You mayaswell say that "they've changed our way of counting!"- from what I see, they've just left out some atoms, ie, they haven't changed it at all.

Anyway, who cares. High school subjects aren't real, I wouldn't worry too much.
