NFS underground 2 problem (1 Viewer)

When i start the game a black screen pops and then it closes and a message comes up saying "this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down"....

What should i do? i really want to play this game and that thing is driving me crazy.

Have you installed the latest update?

Otherwise, would you mind posting your hardware specs, directX version and OS please?
