OK, so I'm doing I&S and one of our set texts is North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. I've read the introduction AND watched the BBC version of it, and I totally understand the context/paradigms etc inherent in the text, BUT I'm having trouble finding good examples from the book. Like, I know it's got GREAT stuff for I&S but, how do we link the passionate dialogue with the description/the destruction of the dissentry between Thornton and Margaret/Hale's "doubts" about the CoE, etc, and make it a good response???
If anyone is doing North and South, and knows all of this, plus some good quotes and ideas, PLEASE HELP!!!!!
