I am not your average tutor.

In a nutshell, I am passionate about education, about learning and about life.

I listen. I ask questions. I discuss. I am proactive. I work with you, not for you. I am down-to-earth and I am honest.

In a larger nutshell, my name is Jade and I graduated in 2013 with an ATAR of 99.65 and a Band 6 (92-99%) in all six of the subjects that I studied, receiving the NSW Premier's Award for All-Round Excellence. I am offering tutoring to students of all age levels and abilities, including HSC and IB students, at a rate of $30/hour. In particular, I specialise in the following subjects:

~ English (Standard, Advanced, Extension & ESL)
~ Essay Writing and Creative Writing
~ History, Geography and Society & Culture
~ Legal Studies and Commerce
~ French and Italian (Beginners to Intermediate/Continuers)

Unlike the mainstream NSW education system, I believe that we can’t just put everyone in the same box. Some of us may require a structured approach with weekly exercises (or “homework”) in order to maintain discipline and motivation. Some us learn best with a more informal, free-flowing style. We all have different ways of learning. With this in mind, I offer tuition sessions that are specially customised to suit the needs of each unique student.

I am absolutely chock-full of advice on how to achieve top marks! I have extensive knowledge of the NSW K-12 curriculum and, having many years of educational experience myself, can provide you with all the up-to-date resources that you need, whether it be on specific content, note-making, exam-taking or reading and writing skills.

I also offer a high-quality online academic editing and proofreading service at a competitive price ($10-20 per 1000 words, depending on skill level).

But enough of me; let’s talk about you. Why are you here? Is there a pesky essay or report that’s driving you crazy? Do you need help deciphering the NSW Board of Studies’ pseudo-educational jargon? (Learning objectives, outcomes, assessment procedures and policies, key competencies… the list just never ends, does it?!) Or is there a tricky concept or topic that you can’t quite understand, no matter how hard you try?

Whatever the problem, remember this: I’m here to help! So what are you waiting for? Drop me a line today and achieve your academic potential!
